I came across this strange size 14x5,9 by accident while I was cutting down a shell. To my knowledge no drum company ever had a drum in that size. What surprised me is the way that 5,9" depth behaves. The drum has incredible body but has this direct "shooting" feeling of a shallow drum. She has this (hard to describe in words) feeling of airy bounciness on the head wich is incredible on a highly responsive and sensitive drum like this. This depth loves and serves all tuning ranges so well but loves the low tuning because it delivers that great feeling in that range. That is why I decide to make a limited edition of the "FiveNine" in differnt wood and shell types. Only ONE standard and One exclusive model is available, so each is one of a kind and I won´t make them anymore.
