This is the one only Masshoff 20,12,14 Jazz Kit ever.

Short story to the kit:

I made 5 extra 20" bass Drums to the 30 Kits with the 22" Bass Drum. 4 were sold as extra Bass Drums with those kits. The fifth shell however was sleeping unseen in a 22" shell for the last 3 years!

I never made a 20,12,14 Jazz configuration but one client bought a 22" configuration with 13"&16" toms only so I had the 12"&14" toms in stock and luckily I found the last 20"x14 " and the matching 20"x8" (!) so here is my one and only Jazz Kit!

Masshoff Drums Wooden Series Limited!

These high quality handmade custom drum kits were made in 2020 as a 10 year anniversary event. This set is highly innovative and has features that no other drum kit ever had! The kit is designed to give you as many set up options as possible. The triple headed bass drum is here the center of innovation. The set up options and possible sound variations are crazy. The sound of the 3 headed drum (when tuned right!) fills out the whole room. Because of the 3 drum heads the tone is more dense and has a higher quality compared to a standard bass drum. Holes for micro cabels for internal miking are on the bottom of each bass drum shell. The bass drums can be also used seperately or as "timpani floor toms" or "gong drums". The toms feature two different bearing edges with different steel hoops. One side is the typical vintage sound while the other has the "modern" sound with more overtones. You simply turn the drum around. The thin (6mm) shells are made of 5-plies with reinforcement rings. 12&13 Toms have 5 plies of maple with a maple reinforcement rings. The 14&16 floor toms are 3 ply mahagony with 2 plies of maple to feature a lower sound while the bass drums have 5 plies of mahagony with maple reinforcement rings to get the lowest wood sound possible. All drums are made with new state of the art equipment and the shell quality is as good as it gets.
